Hawkesy takes a swig of champers following the dramatic triumph over Warwick.
Wardy and Nelly fighting with the champers minutes after the final run had been hit - job’s a good un!
Nick Clewes handing umpire John Earle the score sheet and the obligatory £20 note, only joking Stockton!
Wetty its all over son, you can take em off now.
“Look me old mate, never mind Sheldon Marlborough and Rowlands, it was never in doubt, alright?”
Skip and Skippy, both heroes in their own right throughout the season, and on the day, when it mattered . . . Dave Hawkes, who calmly pushed Southam to promotion with some great batting throughout the campaign, and an unbeaten knock at the end. Luke Nelly’s knock of 92 was probably the innings of the season, given that when he went in we were 19 for 3 and in danger of going down in spectacular fashion, and along with Mark Ward, who also batted superbly, guided us back into a winning position.
